Polyanna relocating to new premises


Pollyanna, a fine bone china manufacturer, is relocating to a 22,000 sq ft site in Burslem, Staffordshire, in order to increase production output. The company, which manufactures giftware and tableware, secured funding from Lloyds TSB Commercial to support the move.  Pollyanna plans to increase its staffing as a result

International expansion for ancestry.com


Ancestry.com, the family history website has been bought for £1bn.  The buyout, led by private equity firm Permira, included chief executive, Tim Sullivan, head of finance Howard Hochhauser.  Permira plans to invest in international expansion of the business.  The firm has 850 employees in 10 offices in the US, Britain, Italy and Germany, and revenues of 475m dollars.

£3m Scottish Water contract secured by Fastflow Pipeline Services


Tyne and Wear-based Fastflow Pipeline Services has secured a £3m contract to upgrade key sections of the Scottish Water clean water network. Fastflow is extending its operations around the UK following a period of investment.

£250m Leisure Development for Telford


Telford & Wrekin Council is to begin a £250m development in Telford, Shropshire. The site will include an 11 screen cinema, restaurants, bars, and a hotel. Ground works will begin in November 2012.
