Heinz contract brings 20 new jobs to South Wales

Peters Food Service, a South Wales-based pie maker, has secured a licensing deal with Heinz and will 20 new jobs. The company will invest £250,000 to increase production capacity and to create a new range of savoury pastry products based on Heinz Beanz, Heinz Tomato Ketchup and HP Brown sauce flavours. Turnover £70m and 752 employees.

Air Cool Engineering creating jobs in Limavady, Northern Ireland

Air Cool Engineering, a heating, cooling and ventilation services contractor, is investing in 2,000 sq. ft. purpose built premises in Limavady, Northern Ireland, after securing funding from Ulster Bank.  The new facility will provide an enhanced trading base and a call centre. The investment will create 7 new direct jobs and construction jobs.

Atos Healthcare creates 145 new jobs in North East

Atos Healthcare are to create 145 new jobs at their Stockton office to deal with an increase in business, including Fit for Work tests for disability benefit applicants. The centre will process personal independence payment benefit, which has replaced disability living allowance.  Turnover of £778m and currently employs 5,900 staff

Auto Styling Truckman creating 15 new jobs in West Midlands

Auto Styling Truckman, a West Midlands-based vehicle accessory manufacturer and distributor, recorded sales of £6.2m for 2012, up from £5.1m in 2011. The company is investing £250,000 to expand manufacturing space by 15,000 sq. ft., to increase production of hard top units.  It is creating 15 new jobs by 2016.

Bournemouth nightclub creates 35 new jobs

Bournemouth nightclub Cameo and Myu Bar has completed a £1m refurbishment, The Luminar Group who owns the nightclub is Europe’s largest club operator. They have increased measures to keep clubbers safe with an increased investment in CCTV and have created 35 new jobs

94 new jobs for East Kilbride

Business analytics and software firm SAS is to create 94 new jobs in Scotland, expanding its existing operations in East Kilbride.

CH2M Hill launches major recruitment campaign with 500 new jobs

CH2M Hill, infrastructure and programme management company, is creating 500 new jobs across its UK divisions. The company, which currently has 3,300 UK employees, will create 500 engineering roles, 40 graduate positions, 30 apprenticeships and 30 paid internships in a £65m investment. Turnover £89.7m.

Abergele dementia centre recommended for approval with construction jobs expected

Fairways Cares plan for a dementia care centre in Abergele, Wales has been recommended for approval by planners. As well bringing 50 full time and 30 part time jobs it would create employment during construction. Turnover £3.7m, 200 employees.

Management Moves: New heads of offices at DTZ

John Keyes has been appointed head of the Manchester office at DTZ and Tim Cameron-Jones has taken over as leader of its North Business Unit.

Private Equity / Bank Funding: £20m bank funding for EnerMech

Mechanical engineering firm EnerMech has borrowed a further £20 million from Lloyds Banking Group to help fund a series of acquisitions. The Aberdeen-based company, which has 1,400 staff and is expected to turn over more than £225m this year.

Management Moves: Sales Director appointed by NewVoiceMedia,

NewVoiceMedia, a provider of cloud contact centre solutions, has appointed Hanne Refslund as Sales Director, Northern Europe and France. Ms Refslund will establish a Benelux, Nordics, and France sales team, to help increase market share in the region.  NewVoiceMedia has doubled staff numbers in 12 months to meet rising demand for its technology.

Outdoor clothing and footwear brand Timberland has appointed a new design director for its apparel and accessories division.

Opening of Swanscombe glass recycling plant creates 40 jobs

Recresco is opening a £5.5m glass recycling plant in Swanscombe, Kent, creating 40 jobs, with financial support from HSBC. Turnover is expected to increase from £18m to £28m as a result of the expansion which will also increase exports from 25% of turnover to 50%.

Papa Tonys opening 25 new restaurants in Scotland creating 500 new jobs

Scottish Halal restaurant chain Papa Tonys are planning to invest up to £15m creating 500 jobs and 25 new restaurants in Scotland and then plan to expand into the UK.

150 potential new jobs in new Oxford science centre

The Oxford Trust, an educational charity, plans to build a science centre in Oxford, which could create 150 jobs. The £38m development will feature interactive exhibits, a planetarium and laboratory. It could attract 150,000 visitors each year and could be completed by summer 2015 subject to planning permission.

23 more jobs at Ringtons

Turnover at family-owned tea business Ringtons has passed the £40m for the first time in the company’s 106-year history. Ringtons posted sales of £41m, while its workforce also increased from 460 to 483.
