Lend Lease has secured the contract to build a 22m
radiotherapy centre for the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Lend
Lease designed and built the original hospital, which opened in 2002, and
continues to provide the estate management services to the hospital. The new
contract could create employment opportunities.

Timpson
opening 100 branches with potential new jobs
Timpson, the key cutter and shoe repairer, is
opening 100 new UK stores by taking space in supermarkets and is expanding
into the locksmith business. The expansion is expected to create new jobs.
Turnover increased 3% to £136.5m in the year to September 2012 but pre-tax
profits fell to £10.1m from £12.9m.

Discount brand 99p Stores plans to invest £250,000

This will be the first store in Scotland; the company currently has
220 branches across England and Wales.

Glen Dimplex Group has created 37 advanced
manufacturing jobs at its factory in Portadown, Northern Ireland as a result
of the launch of a new energy system.
The Quantum system was developed by Glen Dimplex subsidiary Seagoe
Technologies in a £2m investment.
