The Olympic Games has slowed down the professional job market

The Olympic Games has slowed down the professional job market according to jobs data from  APSCo. This was represented by August 2012 figures down 24% and 15% respectively on last year in both the permanent and interim market.
Summer is typically a slow time in the job marketplace when people take annual leave. Coupled with many professionals listening to the governments’ advice, they have taken more time off during the games or worked from home.
Some management teams took the decision not to interview during this period.
