Springfield Healthcare
Group, a Yorkshire-based provider of domiciliary care, has appointed
structural and civil engineering consultancy JPG to oversee the expansion of
a dementia care home in Leeds. SDA is the architect for the project and PDR
Construction is the appointed contractor.
The expansion could create employment opportunities.

CDL, the insurance software group, creating
100 IT jobs in Stockport
CDL, the insurance
software group, is moving to a new campus in Stockport. Construction of the 30,000 sq. ft. office
building has started. CDL expects to
create 100 new jobs over two years.
Agents on the scheme include CoreM as construction manager and Edge
Architects. Turnover £25.4m, 360 employees.

150 jobs created in Turbo Power System’s
North East plant
Gateshead-based
electronics manufacturer Turbo Power Systems is investing £8m in its North
East plant, and creating 150 jobs. The
company has secured £1.1m from the Regional Growth Fund, which will go
towards developing new technologies in industries such as transport and
energy, particularly in Brazil.

New offices for Leeds law firm may
create jobs
Law firm Shulmans has
restructured its management and is moving to 15,000 sq. ft. of space at
Wellington Place in Leeds as part of its growth strategy, including a 1.2m
cloud computing investment. Founder
Jeremy Shulman has stepped down as chairman. The expansion could create
employment opportunities. 120 employees, £7.8m turnover.

100 boat building jobs at Mustang Marine
More than 100 new jobs
are set to be created with the £1.5m expansion Mustang Marine, a boat
building company in Pembrokeshire.
Funding comes from the Port of Milford Haven, which owns Pembroke
Port. It is the first major investment in the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone.

Farnborough, Hampshire, brings potential new jobs
Property developer St
Modwen is upgrading Kingsmead Shopping Centre in Farnborough, Hampshire. It is creating a 7-screen VUE cinema,
several restaurant units and renovating the main square. Talks are underway
with restaurant operators and new jobs could be created. Turnover £28.3m, 240
employees.

fruit machine supplier, develops business growth plans to bring potential new
jobs
Sceptre Leisure, the
Lancashire-based fruit machine supplier, has agreed a 20m refinancing package
with Chenavari Investment Managers to support its next phase of growth in the
UK market. Sceptre operates the LotteryKing brand and Kelly’s Eye fundraising
products. The expansion could create employment opportunities. Turnover £38.6m,
800 employees.

Sunderland
manufacturing company Argus Powerbend has invested more than £500,000 in new
technology after winning new export contracts and is recruiting an additional
ten staff to support their new business stream.

the property development company, has secured council backing to build a
36,000 sq. ft. store for Waitrose in Milngavie, Glasgow. The development
could create employment opportunities.

Panther Warehousing
Warwickshire delivery
company Panther Warehousing has expanded into the Westcountry with the
opening of a 15,000sqft warehouse in Taunton, in a £200,000 investment
creating 40 jobs. The company has also
opened a similar sized operation in County Durham. The two new depots follows a £35m contract
win.
