Tangent acquiries Goodprint ,expanding online printing division

London-based Tangent Communications, a digital printing and marketing company, has raised £10m to acquire rival Goodprint. The deal was funded through an equity placing, with management taking 30%. The acquisition follows strong business growth at its printing.com digital printing brand and doubles the size of the printed.com online division.

Betting firm Betfair Group has seen a 22% rise in employee numbers to 2,038 over the last year.  Turnover has also risen by 15% in the same period to reach £393.3m to date.

Stationery and office supplies firm OfficeTeam has seen employee numbers rise by 55% over the last year to reach 972 to date. Turnover also continues to increase a current £154.2m.

New jobs at Cavaghan & Gray

Ready-meals producer Cavaghan & Gray has created 100 permanent roles at its factory in Carlisle, Cumbria. The operation employs 900 permanent staff and 100 agency workers.

Economit Secures DHP contract - creating jobs

IT consultancy Economit, which is based in Castle Donington, Derbyshire, has won a contract with Nottingham-based events and venue operator DHP Group. The contract includes Bildurn Properties which owns 80 properties and a number of serviced offices in Nottingham. Economit hopes to take on extra staff.

Wilkinson Maintenance creates jobs

County Durham based Wilkinson Maintenance, which specialises in the reactive maintenance and refurbishment of commercial properties, is to reach its £5m turnover target in the year to the end of May 2012.  The company has also expanded its workforce over the past 18 months.
