Management Moves – New Chairman appointed at BrandAlley UK

BrandAlley UK has completed a management buyout of the company from shareholders News International and BrandAlley France. Backed by private investors, the deal will now see Bruce MacInnes, becoming the new chairman

Mixed news on job prospects in Victoria Square Shopping Centre in Belfast


Victoria Square Shopping Centre in Belfast lost 3 traders in January 2013.  Shoe shop Geox, restaurant Gourmet Burger Kitchen and frozen yoghurt cafe Yogen Fruz closed down with the loss of 30 jobs.  Italian restaurant chain Prezzo opens in March 2013, while clothes shop Fat Face will open in spring, with new jobs expected.

Business growth - £6m investment - 60 new jobs - Wind turbine installation


 Teesside based automotive car parts manufacturer ElringKlinger GB has invested £6m in new auto-assembly lines and presses to cope with demand and is to create 60 new jobs between 2013 and 2016.  The company is also to reduce its carbon footprint with the proposed installation of a wind turbine on site

New Leicester office for solar panel installer creates 100 jobs


Solar panel installer Solar Style Solutions is opening a new office in Leicester, creating 100 jobs. The jobs include marketing representatives, telesales workers and administration posts.

10 jobs created in Braunstone, Leicestershire


Security company G4S Monitoring Technologies is to take on 10 new staff at its factory in Braunstone, Leicestershire. The company has won a £68 million contract to supply security tags for the French ministry of justice. 60 people are already employed at the factory.

McDonalds creating 2,500 new jobs


Restaurant chain McDonalds is creating 2,500 new positions across the UK in 2013, including 200 new jobs in Scotland.  The expansion follows investment in restaurants, technology, extended opening hours and menu choice.  Thomas Kelly is vice president of franchising.  Turnover £1.18bn, 39,300 employees.

Cornish innovation centre creates 20 New Jobs


KEO Digital, the team behind the online presence of River Cottage and its high profile food campaigns, is to set up a new digital innovation centre in Cornwall to reinforces its commitment to the South West. The new Newquay base is to create 20 new jobs.
