Management Moves – New Senior Associate recruited at Energy Ventures

Energy Ventures, a Norwegian private equity business which invests in upstream oil and gas technologies, plans to invest £64m in the UK over a 12 month period. It has strengthened its Aberdeen team with the appointment of Tomas Hvamb as senior associate, to help it achieve that target.

Partnership with British Gas signals major training initiative

Environment charity Global Action Plan is working with British Gas and JobCentre Plus to provide training for young people. British Gas is creating 1,000 jobs over 3 years, recruited through Jobcentre Plus.  Global Action Plan will work with job centres to provide a five-day training course, with successful trainees being guaranteed an interview with British Gas.

Two new units in Bourne create 30 new jobs

Plastics recycling company blue Sky Plastic is to create 30 jobs after being granted permission to build two units on the outskirts of Bourne.  The company is looking to expand and currently does not have the space.

New £10m mental health hospital in Coventry creates 130 new jobs

Cygnet Health Care are to open a new £10 million mental health hospital in Coventry, West Midlands.  The 54-bed independent hospital development will create 130 full and part time jobs.  The company has a turnover of £81,373,000.

100 New Jobs at Dorset home care agency

Home care agency Eleanor Care is looking to create more than 100 new jobs after expanding into three new areas of Dorset.  The agency has received a wider remit from Dorset County Council to expand its services into Westbourne, Hamworthy and Oakdale.

40 new jobs at new store in Scunthorpe

More than 40 jobs will be created when an outdoor activities retailer Go Outdoors moves into a former Matalan store in Scunthorpe in a £1.5m development.  The store is due to open in May 2013.
