MSoft, a healthcare technology company with offices in Merseyside and Gloucestershire, expects revenues to double from £1m to £2.2m in 2012-13. The company is seeking acquisitions and has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Paul Coburn as finance director and Robert Fawcett as operations director.

Structural and civil engineering company Elliott Wood has promoted Peter Smith from senior associate to partner at its Nottingham base in a bid to aid its continued expansion plans. The Nottingham office employs 12 staff and expects to double in the next 3 years.

Management Change – New Chairman appointed
The Chairman of Cheshire based shower and tile manufacturer Norcros, John Brown, is stepping down from the role after five years in charge. Mr Brown will remain on the board as Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. He will be succeeded as Chairman by Martin Towers who joined the board in July 2011. The company has a turnover of £200m.
Winning Moves International – Management Buyout
Winning Moves International, a games innovation company, is re-launching a number of traditional board games after securing an investment from a private equity company through an MBO. The business, which operates across Europe, the US and Australia, gives a fresh twist to board games such as Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit.

Newcastle based MobiCart, a mobile commerce app builder, has secured £300,000 of new funding from the Finance for Business North East Proof of Concept Fund, alongside funds from the Yorkshire Association of Business Angels. The company is also adding three new board member, including Ian Pringle, who was recently recruited as Chief Technology Officer.

Law company Sintons, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, has expanded its commercial group and appointed Corporate Finance Lawyer Luke Phelan. The company made a gross profit of £12,055,571 for the year to January 2012.
