Primark
recorded £3.5bn in sales and created 10,000 new jobs in the year to September
2011. Operating profits increased by 15%
to £356m. The retailer opened 19 new
stores in the year and a further 12 stores will have opened in time for
Christmas 2012, with further new jobs expected.
The company employs 43,000 staff.
