Premier Foods - £200m Sale of Division
The £200m acquisition of a portfolio of household names from Premier Foods has boosted Hain Daniels Group into the top 40 of all food and beverage suppliers in the UK. This acquisition furthers their goal to expand in the United Kingdom
Yorkshire-headquartered Hain Daniels, part of the US giant Hain Celestial Group, agreed in August to acquire a portfolio of grocery brands including Hartley's, Sun-Pat, Gale's Robertson's and Frank Cooper's from Premier Foods.
The business being acquired generated in excess of £158m in sales in its last fiscal year, 60 per cent of which were sales of branded products.
Hain Daniels Group was established in October 2011 following the acquisition of the Leeds-headquartered The Daniels Group.
Hain Daniels makes and sells fresh food and drinks in eight chilled and frozen food categories under leading brands including the New Covent Garden Soup Co. Johnson's Juice Co, Linda McCartney, Farmhouse Fare and Lovetub.
Marshall Zoing has sold a stake to Wealth at Work
Harrogate financial services company Marshall Zoing has sold a stake in the business to a Merseyside-based rival Wealth at Work which provides financial education and employee wealth management services in the workplace. Wealth at Work, is backed by Manchester-based Palatine Private Equity
Marshall Zoing specialises in providing advice to clients of professional service firms, in particular the provision of wealth management, pensions, tax planning and trustee investment.
Halls Worcester acquires Chartered surveyors
Property consultancy Halls Worcester is expanding its commercial operations in Worcestershire with the acquisition of a local company of chartered surveyors.
Jonathan Chilton FRICS, which specialises in commercial agency and property management, has been snapped up by Halls after the owner decided to retire after 40 years in the profession.
Halls has also appointed a graduate surveyor to support its growing client base. Luke Weaver will join the commercial agency department and will be involved in the leasing and selling of all types of commercial property.
Halls has offices in Worcestershire and the south West Midlands, Shropshire, and mid-Wales.
iQor Acquires HardMetrics – Business Expansion
US-based iQor, a global provider of intelligent customer interaction and outsourcing solutions, has acquired HardMetrics, which provides cloud-based visual business intelligence, business analytics and reporting solutions. The agreement extends iQors analytics and self-service reporting capabilities. Iqor Holdings UK has a turnover of £20.15m and 400 employees.
