Liverpool-based
Peel Ports, which owns several UK marine transport hubs, recorded revenue
growth of 21.6m to 380.5m in the year to March 2012. Pre-tax profit doubled from 11.3m to 26.9m.
Peel is planning to develop the Liverpool 2 terminal at Port Seaforth with work
due to start in early 2013. 5,000 new jobs are expected.
