Edinburgh-based
Pelamis Wave Power and Swedish partner Vattenfall expect a planning application
for a 10 MegaWatt Aegir wave farm in Shetland, Scotland to be ready by 2015.
They are increasing their environmental surveys and assessments of navigation
risk and fishing impact. Highlands and
Islands Enterprise will support a public consultation into the scheme, which
could create jobs.
