Oil
company BP is to expand its operations on the Schiehallion and Loyal oil fields
west of Shetland. A £30 million contract has been awarded to Babcock to
fabricate 74 subsea structures, and a further £6.3 million contract is to be
awarded. Production will continue at the fields until 2035.
