Leisure Resorts is planning a £50m leisure and tourism resort in Widdrington,
Northumberland, including a short-break adventure park, four-star luxury
holiday village, retail and restaurant hub, and outdoor activities such as
equestrian, fishing, water sports and high ropes courses. Up to 700 jobs will be created. The resort is
expected to open in 2015.
