Carillion secures £40m Scottish rail contract with new jobs expected

Wolverhampton-based Carillion has secured a £40m contract to deliver the electrification of the Cumbernauld to Glasgow Queen Street line for Network Rail.   More than 50km of railway will be electrified, as part of a wider £80m investment in the line. The project will create jobs and modernise rail services.  Turnover £4.15bn, 30,000 employees.
