Siemens is to develop a £70m tidal power
scheme off Anglesey, creating the first commercial tidal energy farm in
Wales. The Skerries Tidal Stream Array
is supported by the Welsh government and is also being backed by £10m in UK
government funding. The scheme could create employment and business
opportunities.
