Carlisle-based
Bendalls, a division of Carrs Engineering, has signed an agreement with French
nuclear-engineering firm Areva which could lead to tens of millions of pounds
of work on nuclear new build. Bendalls will build pressure vessels for two reactors
that Areva and EDF Energy plan to build at Hinkley Point in Somerset. The
contract could create new jobs.
