Eric Wright, a Lancashire construction and civil engineering group, increased turnover by £30m in 2011, after securing new construction and facilities management work. Revenues increased to £182m including joint ventures while operating profit fell to £2.13m, from £2.73m in 2010. Construction revenues increased from £82.5m in 2010 to £104.7m in 2011.
The business was originally founded in 1923 and has several group companies specialising in building, contracting, civil engineering and property development.Facilities management has continued its steady growth, firmly establishing itself as one of the key trading divisions within the group.
